The Nigeria Super eagles will be filing out against Iceland the supposed group minnows have turned around to surprise pundits by forcing a 1-1 draw with Argentina, another team that has grossly under-performed in Russia despite being the favorite in the group.
Ahead of their make or break World Cup showdown versus Iceland, Kanu Nwakwo the Nigerian football icon spent some time with the Super Eagles. The African football great, has attempted to raise the spirits of the Super Eagles ahead of today’s game versus Iceland.
The team would be hoping to bounce back to winning ways against the World Cup debutants after crumbling 2-0 to Croatia. The former Arsenal star interacted with Gernot Rohr’s team and happily posed for pictures with them and also some of the fans present to demonstrate his support for the team.
