The Nigerian political space seems to be getting more interesting as citizens are now firmly demanding to know where projects appropriated for in the national budget are located.
It is believed by many Nigerians that many contracts are awarded as provided for by the budget but many of such contracts are not executed. The recent buck-passing between the executive and the legislative arms of government has woken up new consciousness in Nigerians to ask to see various projects that people in government claim to have executed.
It is believed that the Federal government had released 70% of funds for implementation of various constituency projects but Nigerians have not seen many of the projects.
Track a project of BudgIT which enables people to collaborate, track and give feedback on public projects in their community has stated that some of the projects' locations are unknown and has urged members of the public to follow it's twitter handle @TrackaNG and engage their representatives to reveal locations of such projects.
