The Budget War Between The Presidency And National Assembly Rages On

There seems to be no end in sight on the face up between executive and the legislative arms of the government as the Nigerian National Assembly replied to some of the concerns raised by the president during the signing of the 2018 budget in which the presidency accused the National Assembly of negatively adjusting the budget in a way that it will make implementation difficult. 

In it's response, the National Assembly stated that the president was not properly advices on the said distortion done to the 2018 national budget. 

The National Assembly clarified that increases in budgetary allocation was done to ensure that national projects spread equally across the various geopolitical zones in the country and that some of the reduction attributed to deliberate attempt to frustrate government effort to execute certain project was exaggeration.
