The police DiG in charge of security for Ekiti election slated for Saturday Mr Habila Joshak has assured the members of the public of security before during and after the election.
He gave this assurance when answering questions from Channels TV reporter Seun Okinbaloye. The DIG took exception to statement going round of militarization of Ekiti because of the election. He stated that the number of police deployed is informed by previous operations where the number of personnel deployed could not offer adequate security.
He however assured that the police will not interfere in the election, but rather be the available to ensure law and order does not break down.
