The Plateau State House of Assembly has impeached its Speaker, Peter Azi and the Majority Leader, Henry Yinkwap.
The impeachment rumour first came up last week but was denied by the assembly men, but the rumour has eventually turned out to be true.
The impeachment was made possible by 17 out of 24 APC dominated state house of assembly members. The motion to impeach these officers was moved by Peter Gyendeng of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP representing Barkin Ladi.
The duo were sacked due to a vote of no confidence passed on them by their colleagues.
