The National Screening Committee of PDP has screened a member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu, as the only governorship aspirant for the party’s 2019 governorship ticket in Ogun State.
The screening committee led by Austin Okpara, was constituted by the PDP national working committee to screen all PDP governorship aspirants in the south west region or the 2019 polls.
Adebutu speaking to newsmen after he was screened by the panel in Ibadan, said being the only PDP governorship aspirant in Ogun state, is a clear testimony that there is no division in the state PDP.
He explained that his scaling through the screening marks the first phase of his journey to making life meaningful to the people of Ogun State, through good governance.
Other PDP governorship aspirants screened by the panel, included Chief Jimi Agbaje and chief Doherty from Lagos State PDP, as well as Senator Ayo Adeseun and Seyi Makinde from Oyo State PDP.
The PDP state governorship primaries are scheduled for Friday, September 29.
