According to a report made available to the Ministry of Information and Strategy by the newly created council, it would focus more on the provision of portable water by drilling of boreholes and deep wells, as well as, maintenance of infrastructural facilities, grading of roads and electrification, among others.
The report stated that regulated premises, such as bakeries, canteens, saw mills, were inspected to ensure that they comply with stipulated health standard, while trucks were hired to evacuate refuse in the area.
The report further added that various Community Development Associations (CDAs) in the Council were mobilised and sensitised on the need to partner government by embarking on self help projects and more importantly, in the provision of basic amenities aimed at improving the standard of living of the people.
