The 2018 ojude Oba festival is already leaving up to expectations as the event reaches the peak Thursday.

Being the penultimate year to the general elections, it is expected that the socio-cultural event will attract dignitaries from far and near politicians inclusive.  </div>

The battle ground of politics in Nigeria will definitely move to the southwestern city of Ijebu Ode hosting the annul festival of all people of Ijebu descent from across the globe.

Although to an average ijebu citizen it is an honour to host the number three citizen of the country, the political groups have been reading a different meaning to the invitation of the Senate President as the special guest of honour at the event.

While the loyalists of the state governor senator Ibikunle Amosun and President Muhammad Buhari  in the state have raised eyebrow about the choice of senator Bukola Saraki as the special guest of honour, it is certainly the opportunity for those loyal to the Senate President to score some political points.
